What if our adventures not only sustained our connection to nature, but had a positive impact on the places we visit?
We believe at the heart of the ‘litter issue’ is widespread disconnection from nature. So we’re encouraging our community to get out to go in this summer, deepen their relationships with the natural world through adventure, and give back to the places they visit.
Drawing directly from the wealth of research into the power of our relationship with nature to improve our lives, we’ll be telling inspiring stories to get you off your feet, demystifying what ‘nature connection’ really means, and providing you with the tools to leave positive traces on the places you visit.
Check back here every Monday in August for a new adventure story!
Adventure opens our minds to possibility. They affirm so much of what makes us human.
Through adventure we practise and confront the deepest parts of ourselves, and take these lessons back into our day to day lives. But we reckon our adventures can do good for more than ourselves too.
A 'Purposeful Adventure' aims to leave a positive trace on the places you visit, and the people you meet along the way.
Maybe it's a trail clean, or travelling by public transport - maybe it's a simple 'hello' to passers by. Every small act of positivity is meaningful.

Fostering positive relationships with places we love has the power to improve not only our physical health, but our mental wellbeing, and that of our wider community too.
Creating a ‘Trash Free Future’ is just as much about enabling our community to build a relationship with their wild places, as it is about removing single-use pollution. To create healthy trails, we believe we need to empower communities to feel a sense of belonging and care for them - and nature connection’s the way to do it!
Research has shown that there a five common pathways to nature connection - by engaging with any one of them you can deepen your sense of nature connectedness.
Over this summer we’re sharing five inspiring stories that showcase how you can connect via each pathway, alongside tips on how to leave a positive trace along the way!
