An Introduction to Citizen Science

CSroundelwithlogo.png

Single-use pollution is choking our natural environment, but there’s next to no research to understand the issue. Without research, we can’t push for change.

So we’re filling that knowledge gap, and we need your help. Through our research we want to know what’s out there, where its being found, what it’s made up of, and the impact its having on trails ecosystems.

What’s special about our research is that it isn’t being done by big wig scientists in white lab coats. It’s people like you, across the world, who want to do their bit to protect the trails they love, undertaking Citizen Science research.

What Is The Aim?

We’re starting to build a big picture of the state of our trails, but we need your help to understand what’s going on across more trails around the world. We want you to don your Citizen Scientist hat, get out in the places you love, and share with us what you find.

This Toolkit provides you with all you need to collect and share data on the state of your trails, and have fun while you do so! You’ll learn:

What's Next?

Other than access to a local wild place, you'll need a phone with internet access to complete the research. To get started, simply head to the next session!
